A partnership between Amazon Studios and Howard University designed to diversify the pipeline for talent across the entertainment industry.

In 2019, Howard University, in collaboration with Amazon Studios, launched Howard Entertainment, a bold new initiative to accelerate the diversification of the entertainment industry.  Far more than just an “internship program,” Howard Entertainment is a one-of-a-kind experience for Howard University students to train and study alongside entertainment executives.

This collaboration is centered around intentionality – being intentional about increasing and preparing the next generation of African American, Latinx, and Native American storytellers, casts, crew, and executives. It builds on Howard University’s legacy of accelerating the professional advancement of African American students and those from other marginalized populations, and of the demonstrated commitment of Amazon Studios toward the same goal.
